What happened to Omegle?
Omegle let strangers chat by text and video for 14 years. It shut down on 8 November 2023. If you miss the text side of it, meeting someone new without giving your name, that's exactly what biri.chat is for.
What stays the same
- Anonymous: nobody asks your name, email or phone number
- No account and nothing to download
- Free
- Talk to a random real person within seconds
What's different
- No camera: text, plus photos that arrive blurred until tapped
- Matching by interests, language and personality instead of pure chance
- No bots or AI: there's always a real person on the other side
- Block or report anyone in one tap
- Chats are deleted from the server after they end
- A personal link, so friends can message you directly
